Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year of 1988 with a view to impart technical education to the engineering aspirants of the under-developed regions of Maharashtra & neighbouring states.

The Department at present offers Undergraduate (B.Tech. in Civil Engineering) and Postgraduate (M.Tech. in Civil & Structural Engineering) programs with intake capacity of 120 & 6 respectively and vocational course Building Information Modelling (BIM) as well as we offer Undergraduate B.Tech. (Honors in Strategic Civil Infrastructure) and (Honors in Lean Construction Technology) to the eligible candidates as per the norms of AICTE, New Delhi & DTE, Maharashtra Government.

Civil Engineering is rightly called as the mother of all branches & it is implausible to think of development of a nation without civil engineers. The institute became autonomous in the academic year 2017-18 & I am proud to say that we have taken due advantage of this to design the curriculum and course content as per the industrial and societal demands. We have received positive feedback from industry persons & experienced professors of the domain acknowledging our efforts to make our syllabus stand out in the region.

We are running nodal centers in the department in collaboration with renowned organizations and government agencies such as ISRO-IIRS center, Unaat Bharat and Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan. This initiative helps the students to engage with the societal problems and transfer the technical knowledge for the development works. The department is also actively engaged in providing consultancy services to the society through its experienced faculty and has developed laboratories of more than 2.4+ crore.

Over the years, the department has proven itself as a reliable choice in the region for pursuing sound technical education in the domain.
